Jules Leyser and her husband, Crispin, moved from London to Los Angeles in 2003, just as the poker boom exploded in America. She is now an instructor for the World Poker Tour Bootcamps and spends most weekends touring major casinos across America. She also has an extensive list of private clients who she teaches, along with her husband, in the comfort of their home.

Living in the Hollywood Hills, the husband and wife poker duo are online specialists enabling poker to fit around their schedules. As an actress and writer, Jules doesn’t need to ask for time off for auditions or shooting weeks, the 24 hour online poker tournament availability allows her to play poker and work at the same time.

In November 2005 at a charity poker tournament in Minneapolis, Jules met Marcel Luske and his business partner Wendy Meadley who after witnessing her 3^rd place finish in a field that included T.J. Cloutier, Men the Master, Mark Seif, Linda Johnson, Lyle Berman, Mike Sexton and Marcel himself, they invited her to join their group of upcoming players, The Circle of Outlaws. She now proudly stands alongside her fellow Outlaws, Patrik Antonius, Frank Sinopoli, Marco Traniello, Erc and Robbie Mizrachi, Scott Flansburg, Luca Pagano and Noah Boeken.

Jules was a UK regional chess champion as a child and enjoys playing backgammon and dominoes tournaments whenever she can. She strongly believes there are basic strategies and logic that apply to most games. She used to play in friendly cash games in London and was only introduced to No Limit Tournament poker in America, which is exclusively what she now plays.  In the past year she has been consistently winning both online and live, converting small dollar buy-in amounts to multi-thousand dollar payouts.

After reading English at Trinity College, Oxford, Jules was hired by Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising and went onto become an Account Director at BBH London before quitting advertising to pursue acting and writing. She wrote a one-woman show for the Edinburgh Festival and was nominated for the Best Actress Award and won the Best Newcomer Award. Her business background and creative talents provide the perfect combination for success in poker.

In the past year Jules has taken roles in two films, a recurring guest role in 7^thHeaven on the WB, had a screenplay optioned, taught for WPT in Las Vegas, New York, Foxwoods, Florida, Indiana, Reno, Atlantic City and LA and has won thousands of dollars playing No Limit Texas Hold ‘Em. Her many poker-related media appearances include NPR’s The Day Today the radio-show Rounders, Cardplayer and Bluff Magazines.
